Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

FAQ: FAQ

What is a nurse practitioner?

Nurse practitioners are advanced practice nurses with graduate-level education and advanced clinical training. This advanced education and training give them the ability to provide thorough assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make clinical diagnoses, and treat conditions by prescribing medications and using other treatment modalities. To learn more, I encourage you to visit the AANP webpage, "What's a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?".

Do you accept insurance?

While my private practice is out-of-network with insurances, I can accept clients in-network with select insurances through the use of Headway and Alma. These insurances include Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, Oxford, and Cigna. If you do not have any of these insurances but are interested in receiving mental health services with my practice, I would still be able to see you out-of-network. This means you would pay out-of-pocket for services, and I could provide you with a superbill/detailed receipt to provide to your insurance for possible reimbursement. If you decide to do this, please make sure to confirm that you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of my practice, I am unable to offer same-day appointments at this time.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Prior to scheduling our first session together, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to learn a little about what you are seeking from treatment and to give you a chance to learn more about my practice. If you are interested in booking a consultation, please send an email to info@bemindfullybalanced.com or use the "Get in Touch" button below.
